Reiki Goddess School (Classes begin March 2010)*
*Prior to receiving any reiki training or attunements, it is best to avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24-48 hrs. Many individuals conduct cleansing and/or other spiritual rituals prior to beginning class. Please note that anyone can learn reiki and are warmly welcomed to do so. Level I - (Increasing Inner Spirituality- Shoden) Generally this level includes the traditional history of Usui Reiki Ryoho or Reiki Ryoho, the Reiki Principles, basic hand positions, Reiki History, and an attunement to Level I. In traditional schools there are four attunements done at the first level. In other schools, including the Tibetan/Usui schools, there may be a combined Level I attunement. This class is a 4 hr class, taught in one day. Please note that we will NOT attune you to reiki if you've never received reiki before. We recommend a minimum of 4-6 reiki sessions with either our practitioners or other practitioners of reiki prior to receiving an attunement to Reiki I. After your attunement, we ask that you keep a journal and give yourself reiki for at least 21 days with a sufficient waiting period between future attunements, as determined by both your dialogue and heartfelt intentions. Prior to pursuing Reiki II, we ask that you consult with your Reiki Master Teacher and your own intentions. Some people wait days, weeks, months, or even years between attunements. Some do not receive more than Level I, others go all the way to the Master Teacher Level, while others are moved to be attuned between Levels I and II are a quicker pace. Again, dialogue and communication with your Reiki Master Teacher is warmly encouraged, as well as consultation with your inner self as to how you wish to proceed. $125/per person + $25 fee to cover the cost of your manual.
Level II - (Increasing Inner Teachings and Ethics- Okuden) Generally, this Level includes the three Reiki Symbols in Usui Reiki Ryoho (Power, Focus, Harmony, and Connection), Mental/Emotional Healing, Distant Healing (sending reiki over short or long distances), and other key attunements. The Tibetan/Usui school adds the techniques scanning and beaming. Some schools teach Reiki II is "emotional healing." Usui Reiki Level II is a 4- 8 hr class, taught over the course of one-two days. After attunement to Reiki II, which includes learning ancient symbols, meridians, chakra systems and other complementary forms of energy healing, we advise that you give reiki to more than 100 people over a year's time, prior to being attuned to the Master Level. This is seriously recommended, as it will deepen your appreciation of reiki and its fuller benefits and ancestral healing capabilities. $150/per person + $25 fee to cover the cost of your manual.
Level III (Master Level- Advanced Shinpi-den) Typically includes the Usui Master Symbol (empowerment symbol) and its meanings and applications, the attunement process and practice in its application, and how to teach others are areas covered. Some schools teach that Reiki III is for Spiritual Healing as well as the revelation of Mystery Teachings for Masters only. Usui Reiki Master can be taught over a weekend after successful completion of Reiki II and a sufficient waiting period between attunements as determined between the student and teacher. Teaching at the Master Level is conducted over a two-week period and must afford time for serious contemplation as well as successful completion of the student's ability to understand, draw and share concepts at the highest level. Typically, there are either two-classes per weekend, for a total of two weekend commitments. The certified student must demonstrate the attunement process, bring their planned materials for teaching Reiki I, II, III and IIIa and more. The Master Teacher course also covers additional power symbols that can be utilized in grounding, beaming, healing and meditation. $375-Reiki Level III; $450/ Reiki Master Teacher IV (does not include materials.
